We use our exclusive innovative carbon transformation technology to make non-fossil fuel products, such as and feedstocks and sustainable aviation fuels.
Our advanced technology mimics photosynthesis, a plant process, in an industrial level in which we only use water and renewable energy as input for water and oxygen. Through our technology, we can transform CO2 to value-added hydrocarbons, the raw material for various downstream purposes.

Applications of hydrocarbons

Compounds made by carbons are the key resources of massive materials in the modern society. However, the acquiring process of these carbons from the petrochemicals releases a great amount of carbon dioxides.
That means, the more refined oil we use, the more CO2 we exhaust. However, in our process, we use air rather than petrochemicals to fabricate these basic products, which allows us to reduce the CO2 emission to the greatest extent possible.
This is a chemical revolution of climate change.

Core technology

Through using low energy-cost, low-temperature and high-efficiency electrolysis method, we will transform CO2 to useful products, called e-fuels and e-chemicals, rather than pollutants.

Allow independent operations at the conversion efficiency of as high as dozens of kilograms of CO2 per square meter each day.

Equipped with our core electrolyzer, the container-sized modular systems efficiently capture and transform industrial CO2-containing exhausts. The individual cells of the electrolyzer have the potential to transform the amounts of CO2 up more than dozens of kilograms of CO2 per square meter each day. Through stacking these cells, a single container will be able to convert several tons of CO2 each day.

Large

large-scare net-zero carbon transformation field

We will create a large-scare net-zero carbon transformation field. Renewable energies such as wind power and solar energy will be used to generate electricity. The electricity will be utilized to drive the decarbonization process that converts CO2 to economically valuable chemicals and fuels. These chemicals can serve as raw materials for other industries. This completes a decarbonization economic cycle.

We believe science comes from wisdom and experience

Dr. Yi-Rung Lin founded CarbonClean Energy Co., Ltd in 2022 in the interest of promoting net-zero carbon emission events. As a world-leading expert in CO2 conversion, Dr. Lin obtained her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2016, followed by two postdoctoral appointments with Caltech and Stanford University.

Since her doctoral/undergraduate years and continuing through to the completion of her five-year postdoctoral studies, Dr. Lin had been working on advanced CO2 reduction technologies including catalyst innovation and manufacturing, reactor design and assembly, as well as other relevant Research & Development fields.

As a firm-believer and an active-promoter in developing novel catalysts for high-efficiency CO2 conversion, Dr. Lin founded CarbonClean shortly after returning to her hometown, Kaohsiung, towards achieving carbon-neutral sustainability goals, making meaningful impacts and giving back to the society.

The research experience and expertise she gained from working in world-leading universities and national research institutes laid the groundwork for CarbonClean and offered her the insights on creating a sustainable green-energy industry.

Dr. Lin, as well as CarbonClean, will continue to grow in expanding overseas collaboration and reinforcing indicative partnerships towards the common goals of building a sustainable net-zero carbon technology platform, contributing to the community and mankind.
